CPR TRAINING

CPR & AED (defibrillator training) 2-hour course

The course includes:

Each minute it takes to reach a cardiac arrest victim with a defibrillator, reduces their chances of survival by 10%. At Medi-Tec, we offer comprehensive CPR and AED training, which follows the latest Resuscitation Council (UK) recommendations. Training is delivered by paramedics with experience in advanced cardiac support, and we can also provide details of suppliers and the cost of equipment. 

  • Recognition and treatment of a heart attack

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation

  • Anatomy and physiology of the heart

  • Assessments of casualties

  • Risks and safety procedures of defibrillators (AED)

  • Operating the AED

Allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) – Anaphylaxis and administration of the auto injector (EpiPen)

The course is suitable for:

This course is suitable for anyone who works with or has responsibility for an adult or child who suffers from anaphylactic reactions. It will enable the candidate to acquire the knowledge and skill to administer the EpiPen until medical assistance arrives. The course may be delivered in-house on days and at times which suit you. Epilepsy, Seizures, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training

This course teaches what epilepsy is and the necessary skills that are required to look after someone with this condition. You will learn how to respond in an emergency situation and how to provide any additional help, if required. We explore the various medication programmes people with epilepsy may be prescribed and the impact these have. Throughout the course you’ll learn more about the common symptoms to look out for amongst the people you work with, live with, care for or cater for who may be having a seizure, anaphylaxis shock or asthma attack.
